Askari Foy, Former Head of the Examination Program in the SEC’s Atlanta Regional Office, joins Apogee as Managing Director
Austin, September 4, 2024 – Apogee is very pleased to announce that Askari Foy has joined the firm as a Managing Director in the SEC Compliance Practice.
Mr. Foy is an award-winning regulatory compliance professional who brings more than 30 years of experience to Apogee. He is a former Securities and Exchange Commission executive who held an array of senior roles, including serving as the head of the SEC’s Atlanta Regional Office Examination Program and advising the SEC’s National Risk and Examination Steering Committee, the National Technology Examination Program, and the National Examination Executive Governance Committee. His wide-ranging responsibilities for the SEC included improving the national examination program, identifying market and compliance risks, trends and issues, establishing compliance strategic plans, spearheading compliance risk management projects, and providing compliance advice to chief compliance officers and senior executives to enhance their compliance programs. Mr. Foy has also served as a Chief Compliance Officer and in other senior leadership roles at investment management firms and regulatory consulting firms.
